The Center of Innovation for Bio-DX presented an exhibition at the Hiroshima Central Science Park Summer Vacation Open Lab, held on August 22, 2025, showcasing research activities from Hiroshima University.
The exhibition reproduced our display previously featured at the Osaka–Kansai Expo’s “Connecting Science: Myself and the Future” in August 2025, highlighting our initiatives related to Allergy-free Egg Products.

At the venue, we provided explanations of BioDX and genome-editing technologies through videos and posters. We also offered interactive experiences, including the quiz “Does this food contain eggs or not?” and FutureEgg, where visitors enclosed their wishes for a future in which allergy-reduced eggs are widely available into egg-shaped capsules. This recreated the excitement of our Expo exhibit, which welcomed approximately 70,000 visitors, and shared it once again with the local community.
Moving forward, our center will continue to create opportunities for the public to learn more about BioDX.
We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth!
■About Hiroshima Central Science Park “Summer Vacation Open Lab”
The event featured nine facilities within the Science Park, offering programs designed to make science enjoyable for both children and adults. Under the theme “Experience the Joy of Science by Seeing, Touching, and Listening,” the event included a special lecture by the so-called “Antarctica Teacher,” who had participated in Antarctic observation missions, as well as science crafts, experiments, and facility tours—providing participants with hands-on opportunities to discover the wonders of science.
